DSI representative joined the courtesy visit to Thai Justice Minister by British Ambassador to Thailand

 


 

 

       On Friday, December 20, 2019, 10:00 a.m. at the Ministry of Justice, the Director of Foreign Affairs and Transnational Crime Bureau Pol.Col.Akarapol Punyopashtambha, as assigned by the Director-General of the DSI, joined the occasion that H.E.Mr.Bryan John Davidson (the Ambassador of United Kingdom to Thailand) paid a courtesy call on the Justice Minister Mr.Somsak Thepsuthin for the talks on cooperation between Thailand and the UK in the matters related to the work of the Ministry of Justice, for example, the project for cooperation in developing living conditions of prison inmates, the death penalty, and the process of proposing the drafts of laws, namely, the Draft Prevention and Suppression of Torture and Forced Disappearance Act and the Draft Civil Partnership Registration Act.    

       The Ambassador of United Kingdom to Thailand thanked the Ministry of Justice of Thailand and the DSI for their cooperation with excellent results in investigations into cases of child sexual abuse, and informed Thai Minister of Justice of the UK’s intention to cooperate closely and firmly with the Thai Ministry of Justice for the development of justice system. The Ambassador also informed the representative of the DSI that police agencies of the UK not only are ready to cooperate with the DSI in all matters but also happy to support investigations of the DSI for the better in particular the gathering of electronic evidence of child pornography for the increase in successful prosecutions against transnational child sex offenders.
