DSI Raided a Warehouse and Major Retail Shops in in Bangkok and Pathum Thani, Seizing Over 21,000 Trademark-Infringing Goods, Worth 8.4 Million Baht



          On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., under the direction of Police Major Yutthana Praedam, Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation; and Police Captain Witsanu Chimtrakool, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation, orders were issued to Police Captain Polson Terdsanguan, Director of the Intellectual Property Crime Bureau; Police Lieutenant Colonel Yutthana Tangkoblarb, Deputy Director of the Intellectual Property Crime Bureau; and Mr. Sakda Pipatthamakul, Head of the Intellectual Property Crime Division 3; along with officers from the Intellectual Property Crime Bureau and Special Operations Bureau, to execute 8 search warrants issued by the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court. The team searched warehouses and retail shops in 8 locations that are linked to trademark-infringement, including a warehouse containing trademark-infringed goods on Phahonyothin 64 Road, Sai Mai Subdistrict, Sai Mai District, Bangkok and retail shops selling trademark-infringed goods in various department stores in Chatuchak, Ratchathewi, Bang Khen districts in Bangkok and Mueang and Thanyaburi districts in Pathum Thani Province. The search also included the victim representatives as the observers.

             The search uncovered approximately 21,000 clothing goods infringing the trademarks of various leading brands, such as Lacoste, Christian Dior, Nike, Adidas, Gucci, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Under Armour, Balenciaga, Puma, Chrome Hearts, Burberry, Polo, and The North Face with an estimated damages value of approximately 8.4 million baht. The location served as a storage facility and a major distributor of goods or items of which the possession constitutes an offense, with an estimated market value exceeding 5 million baht, or an estimated damages value resulting from the offense exceeding 5 million baht. These actions may constitute an offense under the Trademark Act, B.E. 2534 (1991)and its amendments. By its authority, the DSI seized the aforementioned goods and sent them to Special Case Inquiry Officials of the Bureau of Intellectual Property Crime for inspection and as evidence in proceedings under the Special Case Investigation Act, B.E. 2547 (2004)and its amendments.   

          The DSI has been actively working to prevent and suppress intellectual property infringements to support the economic system and protect the public from harm of counterfeit goods, aiming to improve Thailand's ranking in the enforcement of intellectual property rights. Intellectual property infringements not only violate the rights of the property owners but also harm the country's economy.
