Police Major Yutthana Praedam, Director General of the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) and Police Major Jatupol Bongkochmas, Deputy Director General of the DSI, assigned Police Captain Khemachart Prakaihongmanee, Director of the Bureau of Technology and Cyber Crime, to preside over the opening ceremony of the Advanced Techniques to Combat Online Child Sexual Exploitation Workshop which was held by the Child Sexual Exploitation Division, Bureau of Technology and Cyber Crime, between June 23-27, 2025, at TK Palace Hotel & Convention in Bangkok. The workshop was supported by the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Thailand and was honored by expert lecturers from the Singapore Police Force or SPF. The participants in this workshop included 20 law enforcement officers from the DSI and the Royal Thai Police, the Technology Crime Suppression Division of the Central Investigation Bureau, and the High-Tech Crime Division of the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau.
The workshop was held to enhance the potential of the law enforcement officers in online crimes investigation, especially in child sexual exploitation through digital network cases. The DSI prioritizes information integration and trans-agency collaboration in order to deal with crimes efficiently in the digital era, as well as to enable the officer to adapt the knowledge and network in a practical work, to create a safe social media space for the juveniles.
