DSI received a complaint about being duped into investing for the benefit of the nation
On Thursday, May 13, 2021, at the DSI Headquarters, the Director-General Pol.Lt.Col. Korrawat Panprapakorn assigned the Director of the Illegal Financial Business Crime Bureau Mr. Piyasiri Wattanavarangkul (as a deputy spokesperson of the DSI) to receive a complaint from a group of injured persons duped to invest in a company and a fund. The injured persons were told that their investment would not only contribute to the benefits of the country, economy and society, but also their personal savings management as the company stipulated the return on the said investment higher than the savings account interest rates of commercial banks.
The complaint received will be submitted to the Bureau of Special Case Management of the DSI for considering and making suggestions to the Director-General before assigning it to the relevant agency.
