DSI attended the inauguration ceremony of the Ministry of Justice’s new building and its 130th anniversary of establishment

 

 

 

       On March 25, 2021, the Director-General Pol.Lt.Col. Korrawat Panprapakorn accompanied by executives and officials of the DSI attended the 130th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Justice, presided over the ceremony by the Minister of Justice Mr.Somsak Thepsuthin accompanied by executives of the Ministry of Justice. In the ceremony, the 2021 Yutidham Thamrong Badges were awarded to people as the advocates for the benefit of the Ministry of Justice with the awards for outstanding officials of the Ministry of Justice and the certificates and Asasamag Yutidham medals for volunteers of the Ministry of Justice. The officials of the DSI receiving the outstanding official awards comprised:

1. Mrs. Preeyanut Kongridhisuksakorn (Special Case Inquiry Official, Senior Professional Level); and

 

 

2. Mr. Surut Rangasivit (General Service Officer, Senior Level).

 

 

       The 2021 Yutidham Thamrong Badges were awarded to the following officials of the DSI.

1. Mr. Nikom Suwanrungrueng (Director of Policy and Strategy Bureau)

 

 

2. Miss Arunsri Wichawut (Deputy Director of Special Case Management Bureau)

 

 

 

3. Maj. Akarin Latthasaksiri (Special Case Inquiry Official, Senior Professional Level)

 

 

4. Mr. Khomkanit Phonghirun (Special Case Inquiry Official, Senior Professional Level)

 

 

5. Mr. Paiboon Hiranrasikul (Special Case Officer, Professional Level)

 

 

6. Mr. Siripong Bunjongkaew (Special Case Officer, Professional Level)

 

 

       Moreover, the said ceremony was honored with the presence of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defence Gen.Prayut Chan-o-cha presiding over the opening ceremony of new buiding and attending the presentation of work accomplishments by 6 special working groups from 16 groups in total named “Phali-Phrabya”. The DSI as one of the special working group presented the progress of the investigations and inquiries into major narcotic network and the result of inspection of corruption by bid rigging in public projects.

 

 

       On this occasion, at the Ministry of Justice’s new building, a group of farmers from Buri Ram Province came to express their thanks to the Minister of Justice Mr.Somsak Thepsuthin and the Director-General Pol.Lt.Col. Korrawat Panprapakorn for assisting 222 persons of the Housewife Farmer Groups in Non Suwan District and Nong Hong District, Buriram Province. The said groups received damage from purchasing fertilizer by signing the purchase orders without any negotiation and did not know that their signing as a party of the contract. Subsequently, the fertilizer company prosecuted the said groups to settle 42 million baht. The farmers had defended for their rights in this case for 6 years. The Legal Aid Center for Debtors and Victims of Injustice of the DSI gathered all related evidences for trial in court. This case the Court of First Instance gave its judgment that the farmers had not to pay their debt. The Appeal Court not only agreed with the decision of the Court of First Instance but also added its judgment that fertilizer of the fertilizer company was fake.
