DSI accepted the case of STARK Corporation Public Company Limited involving in financial fraud as its special case
On Wednesday, June 21, 2023, DSI Director-General Police Major Suriya Singhakamol approved the case of detecting irregularities in the financial statements of STARK Corporation Public Company Limited involving in financial fraud as a special case under the Special Case Investigation Act, B.E. 2547 (2004). Upon the preliminary investigation, there are reasonable grounds to believe that the company’s directors, executives, or others committed an offence against the Securities and Exchange Law of which their circumstances had serious impact on the investors’ confidence in the country’s capital market, economic and financial system.
DSI Deputy Director-General Police Major Yuthana Praedam was assigned to be head of special case inquiry official team and to expedite the integrated investigation with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Royal Thai Police’s Economic Crime Suppression Division (ECD) and other relevant agencies regarding the issue.
The meeting will be held on Monday 26 June 2023, for the purpose of discussing the guidelines for the integrated operations.
