DSI organizes a Nekkhamma Barami (renunciation) ordination

The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) organized a Nekkhamma Barami (renunciation) ordination, Dhamma sermon listening, meditation, and Buddhist practice event. This was held under the Merit-Making and Dhamma Practice Project to dedicatedly offer as a royal merit to Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati Krom Luang Ratchasarinee Siriphat Maha Warpra Ratchathida, in remembrance of her royal grace and royal duties performed for the nation and the people. Furthermore, the event aimed to promote morality, ethics, and Dhamma practice among DSI personnel, strengthen unity and participation of personnel in public charity activities, and express loyalty to the royal institution.

Police Major Yutthana Praedam, Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation, presided over the opening ceremony of the event. Captain Wisanu Chimtrakool, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation, and Police Lieutenant Colonel Anurak Rojanaranrakit, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation, also attended the Dhamma sermon listening.

A total of 147 civil servants and officials from the Department of Special Investigation participated in this event. The activities followed a Dhamma practice curriculum centered on the Eight Precepts, held from June 24 to 26, 2026 (for a duration of 3 days and 2 nights) at Wat Chonprathan Rangsarit.
