DSI prepares to establish its Special Law Enforcement Operations Center (DSI-SLOC) in Cha-am District, Phetchaburi Province
According to the meeting between the DSI by Pol.Col. Akarapon Punyopashtambha (a Deputy Director-General) and Pol.Capt. Channarong Thapsan (the Head of the DSI Academy), the Treasury Department and the Royal Thai Police, the meeting resolved to approve the allocation of Ratchaphatsadu land in the area of 3 - 2 - 22 rai in Cha-am Subdistrict, Cha-am District, Phetchaburi Province to the DSI for its development of law enforcement and special crime investigation and inquiry.
At present, the DSI is in the process of preparing its plan for utilizing the said land. The DSI will establish the “DSI Special Law Enforcement Operations Center or DSI-SLOC” with the expectation that it will request a budget for construction of DSI-SLOC in 2023 to be a central unit for coordinating in law enforcement cooperation under the pillars of the ASEAN Political-Security Community and with foreign partner agencies in the future as well as being the hub for Joint Taskforce, including research and development of innovation and technology of the DSI in order to be a leading law enforcement agency in the region.
