DSI conducted field inspection for finding facts about land in the reserved forest, Phetchaburi Province sold to foreigners by alleged capitalists

After receiving a complaint letter from Mr. Srisuwan Janya (the Vice-President and the Secretary-General of the Association for the Protection of the Thai Constitution acting the President of the Association) on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, about the foreigners deceived by the New Nordic Development Company Limited to buy units of the condominium or property in the Phetchaburi Park Project, the Director-General Pol.Lt.Col. Korrawat Panprapakorn ordered the Natural Resources and Environment Crime Bureau to inspect this matter.

On Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. the Director-General Pol.Lt.Col. Korrawat Panprapakorn, his deputy Director-General Pol.Lt.Col. Supat Thamthanarug, and officials of the DSI visited the area to inspect the land, as informed by the aforesaid Association, in the Phetchaburi Park Project, consisting of the hotel, condominium, detached house, garden-style restaurant, and water park in the area over 555 rai, located in Rai Khok Subdistrict, Ban Lat District, Phetchaburi Province. The certification of utilization was issued to the land.

The preliminary inspection by the Association and information obtained from the Royal Forest Department detailed that the Royal Forest Department had ordered its responsible agencies to investigate and found that the certification of utilization (N.S. 3) was issued to 21 plots of all land of the project which are the areas in the Pa Yang Hak-Khao Pum National Reserved Forest. After deceptive sales by the company and the payment to the company by the foreigners, the Association monitored the progress of the said project, but found no progress and only the demolition debris of its sale office building left. The Association requested the DSI to accept the said case as its special case in order to investigate and inquire for prosecutions against the persons who issued 21 certifications of utilization (N.S. 3) unlawfully, to urgently inform the related agencies (the Department of Lands and the Royal Forest Department) to revoke the said 21 title documents from the National Reserved Forest, to prosecute against the New Nordic Development Company Limited and the persons who possessed the land in the said national reserved forest for utilization, and to take legal proceedings against the New Nordic Development Company Limited, both the real shareholders, and nominees, in the offence of public cheating and fraud.
