At the DSI's meeting room, on Sunday, March 21, 2018, 09:00 a.m., the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Justice Air Chief Marshal Prajin Juntong and his team (Air Marshal Naowarat Mangkala, the Minister's Secretary, Police General Ruangsak Charit-ek, the Minister's Adviser, Police Lieutenant General Torsak Saardpark, the Minister's Working Group, and Professor, Mr. Wisit Wisitsora-at, the Permanent Secretary) met with the DSI's executives and directors  headed by the Director-General Police Colonel Paisit Wongmuang.

This meeting was aimed at following up the progress of cases handled by the DSI, especially the major cases that have attracted widespread public attention, for example, the case of human trafficking involving the Victoria Secret massage parlor, the case of money laundering by the Krisada Mahanakorn Group, the case of money laundering relating to the Klongchan Credit Union Cooperative Limited, the case of alleged corruption in the State Railway of Thailand's Saving Cooperative of the Railway Club, the case of Wiset Chai Chan Agricultural Cooperative allegedly committed a criminal offence in submission of bids for supplying raw/uncooked food to prisoners, the case of assembled cars for tax evasion and import of cars into Thailand by declaring the price lower than its actual price, the case of corruption in electronic bidding of government offices, etc.  After reporting the DSI's performances and obstacles to doing the aforesaid cases by the Director-General, the Minister of Justice advised the DSI to control, inspect, and urgently investigate such cases in accordance with the laws for transparency and justice.

The meeting resulted from the Minister of Justice's laying down of 3 policies on the DSI's work, namely (1) the DSI's urgent execution of special cases (the DSI must has its measures to control, hasten, and inspect its special cases for rapidity, transparency, and justice), (2) the DSI's consideration to accept its special cases (the DSI's special case acceptances must be focused and not overlap with other agencies, its special cases must be investigated by its multi-disciplinary team, and the DSI must do justice to other criminal cases for inequality reduction subject to the government policy), and (3) the DSI's increase of working efficiency (by employing special instruments in working, developing the ability of its staff consonant with its work, and integrating its work with other public and private agencies).
