DSI set to investigate the false claim of foreign ‘DSI Agent’
and to pursue full prosecution of any wrongdoings
This statement is issued in response to the incident where Thierry Perenon, a French national and the self-proclaimed DSI “special agent”, allegedly emailed the editor of Khaosod English with implied threats of arrest if the media did not delete the story about the Russian and Belarusian group arrested for organizing the ‘sex lesson’ training. It is also reported that Thierry Perenon also named Police Lieutenant Colonel Korrawat Panprapakorn, a DSI Deputy Director-General, as supervisor.
According to Police Lieutenant Colonel Korrawat, the matter has been referred to Police Lieutenant Colonel Sa-ard Suntorn, the head of DSI’s Eastern Operations Center, for an investigation into the alleged conduct of Thierry Perenon. The DSI affirms that this individual is not a DSI agent
If this person is found to pose himself as a DSI agent and be involved in any unlawful activities, he will be subject to full prosecution.
