DSI representatives met with Advisor to the Minister of Interior of Qatar to initiate cooperation between agencies
On Sunday, December 22, 2019, at 9:00 a.m. in Doha, the State of Qatar, the Director of Foreign Affairs and Transnational Crime Bureau Pol.Col.Akarapol Punyopashtambha as the representative of the Director-General of the DSI, accompanied by a Special Case Expert on Foreign Affairs and Transnational Crime Pol.Lt.Col.Komvich Padhanarath, visited the State of Qatar to pay a courtesy called on Major General Dr.Abdullah Al-Mal (Advisor to the Minister of Interior of Qatar) and meet with the delegation of Qatar Interior Ministry. The visit resulted from the invitation of the Qatar Ministry of Interior due to the close and good relationship between the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Thailand.
In the meeting, the Advisor to the Minister of Interior of Qatar informed the Director of his wish to initiate the relation and cooperation between the Qatar Ministry of Interior’s agencies responsible for keeping peace, preventing and suppressing crime and prosecuting criminal cases and the DSI for developing law enforcement. The representatives of both agencies discussed and exchanged the present situation and future trend of major crime happening in each country, and agreed to enhance their cooperation in enforcing laws.
