DSI received 3.5 rai of Ratchaphatsadu land beside the Cha-am beach for establishing the ASEAN Special Law Enforcement Taskforce Operating Center
On Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at 09:30 a.m. Pol.Col. Akarapol Punyopashtambha (a Deputy Director-General), as the representative of the Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation, met with a Deputy Director-General of the Treasury Department Mrs. Suksiri Boonyasait and a Deputy Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police Pol.Gen. Piya Uthayo to discuss the use of property forfeited by court order to become property of state. From the meeting, the beachfront-land covering about 3.5 rai in Cha-am District, Phetchaburi Province is allocated to the DSI for establishing the “ASEAN Special Law Enforcement Taskforce Operating Center” (ASLETOC) as the central coordinating agency for law enforcement cooperation under the ASEAN Political-Security Community pillar with foreign allies in the future, and as a hub for joint operations and innovation and technology research and development of the DSI for being a leading law enforcement organization in the region.
